iOS 20 Beta

Developer Beta Installation

  1. Back up your device

    Create a complete backup using iCloud or your computer to ensure your data is safe.

  2. Register as an Apple Developer

    Sign up at developer.apple.com if you haven't already. This requires an annual fee of $99.

  3. Download the Beta Profile

    Sign in to the Developer website and download the iOS 20 beta profile.

  4. Install the Profile

    Go to Settings and install the downloaded profile. Your device will restart.

  5. Update to iOS 20 Beta

    Go to Settings > General > Software Update and install iOS 20 beta.

Public Beta Installation

Developer Beta Installation

  1. Back up your iPad

    Use iCloud or Finder to create a full backup.

  2. Enroll in Developer Program

  3. Download iPadOS 20 Profile

    From the developer portal, download the beta configuration profile.

  4. Install the Profile

    Install via Settings > Profile Downloaded; then restart.

Developer Beta Installation

  1. Backup Watch

    Your watch backs up automatically when unpairing—keep your iPhone to hand.

  2. Download Profile

    On your iPhone, visit developer.apple.com and download the watchOS beta profile.

  3. Install Profile

    Open Watch app > General > Profile, then install the beta profile.

  4. Update Watch

    In Watch app, go to My Watch > General > Software Update to install watchOS 13 beta.

Public Beta Installation

  1. Ensure iPhone is on public beta

    Your paired iPhone must already run the iOS public beta.

  2. Enroll Watch

    Visit beta.apple.com/watch on your iPhone to install the public profile.

  3. Install Update

    Go to Watch app > General > Software Update; follow prompts.

ℹ️ Note

watchOS public beta usually becomes available a week after developer beta.

tvOS 20 Beta

Developer Beta Installation

  1. Connect Apple TV to Mac

    Use USB-C (4K model) or USB-A to USB-C (HD) to connect to your Mac.

  3. Install tvOS Profile

    Select your Apple TV in Devices, then click “Use for Development.”

  4. Update via Settings

    On Apple TV, go to Settings > System > Software Updates.

Public Beta Installation

  1. Enroll via Profile

    Visit beta.apple.com/tvos on Safari-injected Apple TV browser.

  2. Download and Install

    Follow on-screen prompts to add the public beta profile and update.

Public beta for tvOS generally arrives 3 weeks after the developer seed.
